Even though Grape-Nuts was not actually the first cereal which was actually called Granula, they are very similar. Granula was the first cold cereal manufactured in 1863.

Apparently this book was the first cereal box prize, from Kellogg's.
It went from 10 cents in 1909, to 60 dollars today!
Here is where I found all this out!
